Salem, Massachusetts is historic, educational and fun! Salem has a funky, hockey side, but there are plenty of beautiful, historic places to see and do. Not surprisingly, given the history of Salem’s Halloween Trail, they celebrate Halloween the entire month of October! Salem is very close to the harbor so it has a rich maritime history. It’s a dog-friendly city with plenty of dog-friendly outdoor dining options!

They call Arkansas the Natural State for a reason. The natural beauty throughout the state is simply stunning! Arkansas is a very dog-friendly destination. Eureka Springs is located in northern Arkansas, deep in the Ozark Mountains. It is a charming little town surrounded by so much natural beauty.
Another nice little town in Arkansas is Hot Springs. This is in contrast to Eureka Springs, which is located in southern Arkansas, and Eureka Springs has hot springs below it instead of cold springs further north. This small town is not only surrounded by natural beauty, but also has a very interesting history – hint: gangsters and baseball played a central role in the past!
If you’re looking for a luxury vacation with your pooch, check out the Hamptons on Long Island, New York. The beaches are wonderful, but there are many restrictions. And bring your credit card, the Hamptons ain’t cheap!
Montauk, Long Island New York, east of the Hamptons. Montauk’s beaches are more dog-friendly than the Hamptons. Montauk is literally the end of eastern Long Island, which is why people say “Montauk. The end.” The historic Montauk Lighthouse sits atop Montauk Point and is the oldest active lighthouse in America. The lighthouse is definitely worth seeing!

If you’re a history buff, Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia – The Revolutionary City is a great getaway! We are very excited to learn that this is a dog friendly property. The revolutionary city has dog-friendly accommodations and several dog-friendly outdoor dining spots. Visiting Colonial Williamsburg is like stepping back in time!
We love going to fun, interesting places with our dogs. Roswell, New Mexico is definitely one of the most interesting places we’ve ever been! As I guessed, Ralph was so happy with his luck that he immediately headed for a shower in the garden, which was big enough to fit a human-sized double sofa bed and still had room for a yoga mat or two. .
