From cozy one-bedroom cabins to spacious five-bedroom Treehouse cabins, you can find just what your party needs. All we ask is that you keep your dogs on a lead when walking around the site. Dogs are only £10 per night. Blackwood Forest, a peaceful forest just an hour from London, is the perfect place to get away from it all. Relax in one of the 60 cabins located in a secluded corner of the forest among tall beech trees.

Pumping Station Holidays
The cottages are spacious. Escape the stress of life and enjoy a relaxing vacation with the dogs. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and what more could you want than to walk the dogs in the middle of the forest. We go every year.
Many places say they are dog-friendly, but they don’t allow you to leave your dog unattended, which means shopping, going out for a romantic dinner for two, or anywhere else without a dog becomes difficult or impossible. Other places require you to chase your dog away if you leave without them. This is great if they are crate trained but not afraid of crates. Some supposedly dog-friendly places only allow one dog, only allow small dogs, only allow certain breeds; yes, I had to specify the breed and weight of my dog when I inquired about the reservation. Forest holidays are different. You can go without dogs, no need for crates! They don’t care about race or weight! The cabins are separate, so if he barks a little, it is unlikely that anyone will disturb you. They also allow up to 4 dogs in the pet cabin. They do charge for overnight stays for dogs which I think is expensive, but not having to worry about the huge rules for dogs everywhere else makes it worth the extra money to me. Plus they have dog activities, litter boxes and lots of great walks on the doorstep and nearby, especially at the Sherwood location but also elsewhere. Dogs are even allowed in the on-site shop/reception. We have already booked our next trip to the woods for 2021 as their cabins are the perfect socially distanced getaway. I can’t wait to come back!
