Dogs staying at Big4 Gold Coast Holiday Park must be vaccinated with proof of vaccination required on arrival.
Dogs are not permitted in the pool areas, Nibbles Café and water park. Dogs are welcome at Nibbles Terrace.
Please remember that we also love koalas and kangaroos and ask that you always respect their habitat, do not allow your dog to leave any area of the park except the designated exercise area.

If you are planning to walk your dog in Queensland but don’t have your own caravan or tent to camp in, the best option is to stay at a pet-friendly kennel, usually a car park. Although most cabins are reluctant to allow pets, I have located many of the pet-friendly properties in Queensland, from the south of the country to far north Queensland.

South Queensland’s wine country in the Granite area is a great place to visit for dogs, including Stanthorpe. Above the City Tourist Park, located on the outskirts of the city, offers a variety of lodging options for pet owners, including affordable animal shelters.
An ordinary cage is a pet. Each studio-style cabin sleeps up to four people, with a double bed and two single beds, plus a private kitchen and bathroom. There is also a pet-friendly cabin, usually with a queen bed in a separate bedroom and wood-burning heat.
Paw-fectly Pet-friendly Places
This park is just a few steps from the city center and has a swimming pool, games room, covered barbecue area and plenty of space for dog walks surrounded by bushes.
If you want to spend a beach holiday with your pup in Queensland, the best dog park on the Gold Coast is Kirra Beach Tourist Park. Just a short drive from the beach (and a short drive from Palm Beach Dog Beach), dogs are allowed year-round in select motorhomes and luxury cabins.
Two of the spacious two-bedroom apartments are designed as a perfect kennel. Each cabin porch is open and has a pet-proof screen designed to allow cooking, perhaps using a grill on the porch. Inside there are two bedrooms that can accommodate up to four people, as well as a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom.
Please note that generally only one dog is allowed and must be up to date on vaccinations. An additional cleaning fee of US$32 applies. The park also has a self-service dog washing machine and a pet water fountain, with a green area next door.
Pet Friendly Accommodation Gold Coast
Another excellent dog-friendly caravan park on the Gold Coast is BIG4 Gold Coast Park. The most dog-friendly car park on the Gold Coast, the park has a large dog park with quick facilities, its own dishwasher called Puppy Pampering Palace and on-site dog play.
Dogs are welcome in at least 20 pet-friendly parks. Top pet-friendly options include Studio Cozy Cabins, Cozy Cabins, Two Bedroom Cabins, Two Bedroom Family Cabins, Bungalows, and Two Bedroom Terraces, which can accommodate two to six guests. Pets are not allowed in motel rooms or villas. Check with the park or their website (see paw signs) if in doubt.
Up to two calm, well-behaved dogs are allowed inside at no additional cost, advance reservation is required. Be sure to let the park know you are bringing a pet when you order and bring pet insurance.
North Stradbroke Island is one of the dog-friendly islands off the coast of Queensland. Pets are allowed on the ferry, as well as on the beach and at the island’s free beach bars. The classic option is to camp on the beach which can only be accessed with four-wheel drive, but North Stradbroke also has a good range of animal shelters.
Take Your Pet
Book accommodation at Sea Shanties at Amity Point on the north side of the island. Five of its eight homes are pet-friendly and well-behaved dogs are welcome. The comfortable cabins can accommodate two to six people, and each has its own kitchen and bathroom.
Whether the cottages are located on the beach or in the garden, they all have access to the property’s amenities, including a beachfront outdoor kitchen and barbecue grill.
It’s just a three-hour drive north of central Brisbane to Sandy Beach, but it’s a world away from the city, especially when you’re staying in the quiet and peaceful Poona Palms Park.
Pets are welcome to stay with you in the park year-round at the managers’ discretion, in both electric and pet-friendly kennels. Pets are allowed in the two- and three-bedroom villas and park villas – ask them directly and make sure they indicate when you are bringing a pet.

The caravan park has its own dog park with quick facilities. Additionally, there is a K9000 dog wash outside the service building, which is important after sand. There is a speedboat on site and the area is also popular for fishing.
Heading north for friendlier holiday homes in Queensland, book a stay at BIG4 Hervey Bay Holiday Park. In addition to being allowed in power plants, pets can also choose a good pet cage.
Each open-plan cabin can sleep four people and has two double beds and two single beds. There is a small kitchen and a bathroom with all bed linen.
The park is located in Point Vernon. Although dogs are allowed on most beaches in the Hervey Bay area, Point Vernon Foreshore is not. There are three different locations on the road, including the road between Aplin Street and Pines Park, near the parking lot.

Parking is just a few steps from the Nielson Park Dog Park, located on the north side of Fred Coutice Avenue. Dogs are also allowed at the top of the Esplanada stretch of Bargara Beach, but you should watch out for the few signs that say dogs are not allowed.
