Pet Friendly Hotel In Rockland Maine
One of my favorite things is the smell of salt air. Smell is very powerful and can instantly affect our memories.
We visited Mother Beach, which is open to dogs in the summer from 9am to 5pm and all day from Labor Day to Memorial Day. (Be sure to check before visiting.)
Alice’s dogs don’t like to swim, but the sights. She seemed happy with the sounds and smells. They were very thirsty after the walk and were waiting for a treat.
Vita Bone® Artisan Inspired® Dog Treats are one of Frannie’s favorite treats. I don’t know if it’s the smell or the taste, but he always makes a run for them. The same cannot be said for every treatment I have been given. Frannie started crying uncontrollably while taking these photos.

In addition to going to the beach, we also visited the Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge. It starts out as a jungle walk but has a great view of the swamp.
Like most tourist towns, Kennebunk has lots of nice shops. We are extremely happy to have discovered Scalawags. This is one of the most beautiful shops I have ever seen. (Also pet friendly).
Many restaurants in town offer dog-friendly patios, but most eat outside. We have a nice rental house so it’s convenient to leave the girls there when we go out. We enjoyed the most delicious Ben & Jerry’s non-dairy ice cream in town. That’s it. We gave some gifts to Darla and Frannie.
