Best Dog Friendly Restaurants Orange County
OEB Breakfast Company is a dog-friendly, farm-to-table restaurant serving high-quality food that is visually beautiful and delicious! We ordered the Lobster Scramble and the Goat Shorty Ribs. The Crab Scramble features crab, shrimp, duck fat fries, shallots, chives, American Asiago cheese and brown butter hollandaise. I could taste every ingredient in every bite and it was divine! The Goat Cookie Ribs came with a poached egg, duck fat veggie potatoes, cheese curds, Philly steak, peppers, red onion, mushrooms and brown butter hollandaise. The ingredients came together well and tasted great! We finished with dessert Do Not Go There, a French crepe with vanilla cream, strawberries, bananas, fresh whipped cream, pistachios, almonds and Vermont maple syrup. Wow, wow, the dessert left us speechless. Not only was the food delicious, but the hospitality was the best, especially from Nike! They gave Nike a bowl of water and some treats which he described as PAWfection!

Hopdoddy is the coolest bar style restaurant. They are super dog friendly. As soon as we saw Nike, we were informed that they offer dog steak (unsalted beef) on their menu for our fur children. Needless to say, we definitely have our own Nike Patty to choose from in 3 different sizes (so many options for our fur babies). They have great beer and great food! One of the coolest things is that you can turn any of their burgers into a salad (like the one pictured below). I made the Thunderbird burger salad and it did not disappoint! It literally has everything a burger has except the buns and the patty is still intact which is great! We also ordered the ahi tuna burger and sweet potato fries which were still mouthwatering! Since it’s located in the Mod Islands, you can shop before or after enjoying a delicious meal at Hopdoddy!
If you and your pup have a sweet tooth, Dough and Arrow is the place to go! I love the meaning behind store names. His owner named him after his dog Arrow, a wonderful Vizsla. And of course, they sell the dough as cookies. Let me tell you, their cupcakes are HUGE! They’re definitely shareable, but once you try them you won’t want them anymore! They are very soft and delicious. They have such unique flavors and are cooked perfectly. We tried the crème brûlée, toasted coconut, smoky, magonada cake, cherry jubilee, and sink, and we can’t wait to go back to try new flavors and get seconds of our favorites! The great thing about Dough and Arrow is that they rotate flavors and offer seasonal flavors, so you can always find something you like! They also offer a refreshing drinks menu, but the best part is that you can experience all the treats with your dog because they have pooch cookies too! Nike swallowed them in one go! It’s also generously sized, soft and easy to break for your fur baby to chew and enjoy!
Descanso serves authentic modern Mexican cuisine. The moment you walk in you see a beautiful, meaty wall with their names written on it! The food is delicious and appealing. Bright, colorful and full of flavor! We got to try various authentic Mexican dishes with a modern twist! One of my favorite items is the volcano taco, served on a blue cornmeal tortilla and then smothered in a delicious volcano and avocado salsa. They have a dog-friendly patio so your fur baby can come too! The patio also has a bar where you can order their amazing drinks, not to mention they also play live music on the patio. We had a great time here and Nike loved it. They brought him cold water and took great care of him which he loved!
Talk about an authentic Spanish tapas bar. The first time we tried Cafe Soy was at their San Diego location and they did not disappoint! We loved it so much we had to try it again at the Costa Mesa location. Not only does the food give a little taste of Spain, but their live music will make you want to dance the night away with your dog – and you can! They are very dog friendly. Nike was welcomed with open arms and stepped into the spotlight. We enjoyed dancing together to live music and enjoying Spanish food. One of the must-try and popular dishes is paella. Wow, I was blown away! I had my favorite dish of the night, the seafood paella that came with mussels, shrimp, salmon, shrimp, mussels and calamari!

The Rock definitely has a special place in my heart because that’s where me and my boyfriend of 7 years were officers. Being able to come back year after year and celebrate our special day with our little Nike makes it that much more special! I love that it is so dog friendly and has an incredible ocean view. There is also live music at the bar and fireplace. There is a variety of dishes that are super delicious! From pasta to burgers and seafood! One of our classics would definitely be fish and chips. The fish is fried to perfection – crispy on the outside, but still soft and flaky on the inside. French fries are also made with the same concept; It is crispy golden on the outside and still soft on the inside. Nike sure likes to bring home a fry up or three. The Rock is a great place for beautiful views, good food and a good time!
Vox Kitchen is a dog-friendly restaurant serving a mix of Peruvian and Chinese cuisine. They have a great selection of food, you really can’t go wrong with anything you choose! We ordered the “saltado” fries, which came with steak, fries, red onion, tomato, aji sauce, and rice pilaf (we also added a sunny side up egg). Everything on this plate was incredible! We had corn on the cob with lychee lemonade to start and both were amazing! They also had dog treats that Nike loves! The highlight of our visit here was seeing Nike’s face light up when he had one trophy left; He was so happy!
Another dog-friendly restaurant in Orange County is Cafe Sakana. Cafe Sakana is a sushi restaurant that offers a casual dining experience with a variety of sushi rolls. Even though we haven’t been there yet, we can’t wait to go because sushi is one of our favorite foods and being able to eat our favorite meal with our little boy Nike is a total sushi/dog lover’s dream! We can’t wait to check out more of this place!
