When you search for ‘pet friendly accommodation’ many websites will show you caravan parks and campsites. Is it true; Many of their campsites accept dogs and pets. However, only a few people (including some on this list) allow them into homes or cabins locally.

Popular Eagle Bay Accommodation

Although most caravan parks and campsites (though not national parks) will allow dogs in your cabin or tent, there are often conditions around them at peak times. In short, many places do not allow dogs at Christmas, New Years and Easter. Others extend it throughout the January school holidays. In some cases, the only way to find out this information is to give them a quick call.

In general, all the different pet-friendly accommodations say the same thing – pets are popular, so it’s important to book early.

Seriously, we all know our dogs. Are they porters, moaners or just happy old souls? How will they react if you let them advance? If you are on a farm or in a rural area with wild animals, can your dog restrain himself from chasing animals? Are they generally well behaved and do not disturb other guests? Be honest with yourself and if your adorable pup isn’t already house trained, you should stay home!

So have you found dog friendly places in South West WA? Be sure to read the fine print! Many places do not allow dogs indoors. And let’s face it, they’re on vacation too, we shouldn’t be shutting them down all day.

Your Guide To A Dog-friendly Holiday In Wa

In addition to the dog crate, we also received a small roll-up dog bed that they sleep on at home. This gives them a sense of familiarity as they travel. Just like your baby’s favorite toy!
