Weekend Trip To Los Gatos
There are not many places like this. In a few hours, you can go from snow-capped mountains to high forests and beautiful beaches. Northern California offers unforgettable vacation spots for you and your dog. We often travel with our children, so we know how important it is to find a place that welcomes you and your dog.

You can immerse yourself in the beauty of Russia’s Sona region, where the forest and atmosphere are especially haunting for lovers and spirits. Here you can walk through the big redwood forests, breathe in the fresh air and absorb the energy of the country. Elegant shops, interesting restaurants, and beautiful places line the streets, inviting you to experience the unique spirit of the area.
The owner releases the crabs and brings new crabs to die early every day. We could take an international flight just for the food!

Most of the time we seem to end up in the Russian River region. It’s close to the accounting district, so it’s easy to drive. But once you’re there, the city is far away. As the Russian River meanders through the redwoods, it can seem like a dreamland lost in time. Especially if the trees are covered in fog.

The historic city of Guerneville invites you all to an unforgettable experience. On the outskirts of town is the Armstrong Redwoods State Nature Reserve. Your dog can walk with you on busy roads. The trails are very close to many forests, allowing you to appreciate the old trees.
Enjoy a full day on the Russian River, kayaking and canoeing, or relaxing on the water with your child. Note that Johnson’s Beach does allow pets, but there are parks and trails nearby.
Stop at the famous Corbel Champagne Cellars and explore the surrounding vineyards for wildlife, giving you and your child a true Northern California experience.
If that’s not enough, the Russian River beach is a 30-minute drive away. Many public beaches (like Goat Rock Beach in Jenner) allow dogs on the beach. Dillon Beach is also located on the beach but is only a short drive away.

Carmel is one of the best listening places for us. There are plenty of dog-friendly spots, perfect for a weekend getaway. You can put your toes in the sand for a few hours, maybe go for a walk and come back in the evening to enjoy a good wine and the sunset. It’s hard to get it wrong. Also, don’t tell the kid because it’s not allowed, but if you can get away for a few hours, there’s a fun place called The Escape. They have everything: hot and cold pools, sauna, steam room. Going back is one of our favorite things to do when we are there
