Dog Friendly Vacations In Maine – I am currently in Maine and have been here for about a month weathering the COVID19 storm from my old cabin on the lake. (yay! and a long vacation for me! too bad we still work remotely LOL)
Last week my husband and I got in the car and went to the little beach town of Camden.

The social isolation of the lake (as in the forest) caused the presence of human ants.

, so it was nice to get out and change the environment (although we still practice social distancing the whole time!).
Ringtone we have a dog, the mobile lamb is about to leave the station! all the above if you want to ride Camden!
They offered us a free stay to exchange some posts on my facebook and instagram pages. Let’s talk about an extraordinary opportunity!
We knew we couldn’t let it slide. but before we were allowed to go, the person made sure that the hotel was clean and safe to visit, that everyone had a mask, you know, that kind of thing.

They assured us that they take all the necessary precautions (and more!) and #Everything is basically always clean, so we felt comfortable agreeing to stay there.
I help welcome guests to the hotel. It was a great place to find so many animals!
The bathtub. it was GIGANTIC. he took about 3 baths during our stay (no, in case you’re wondering if I did too, NOOOO, because #BathsSuck).
Sheets! he said they were as soft as butter. I couldn’t really tell because, you know, I’m bald and my palms get a little tanned in the summer?
Why Pet Friendly Bar Harbor, Maine Was Our Dogs’ Favorite Destination
Space! it was just across the bay, with lots of places to eat (but we did the responsible thing and just took the food out).
On the roof! This was one of my favorites as well. all the tables and seats were spaced apart, and they gave me room to run around, smell people’s feet, and ask for belly rubs. More abs!
Oh, and one says: “LOOK! Look!” so the view from the bar was very sweet. I didn’t pay much attention because I was more interested in getting attention and ordering pork when no one was looking, but you know.
And food! The food was amazing. The restaurant and breakfast area were closed due to COVID19, but they made up for it for us (and all other hotel guests!) by preparing several delicious breakfasts delivered to our door each morning. I made sure to get one of each option because, well, why not?!

The food, the people, the stomach, the medicine they had at the reception of the dogs, the stay on the first floor so that trips outside did not take long, the view from our balcony in the room I was sitting watching people / dogs, orerrrsssss. , and… er… everything! it was perfect.
LOL jk. we climbed up, took pictures, had lunch on the rock and then came back down. (
Long live dog friendly beaches! We sat and watched the ships come in for hours. I walked around in the sand and got as dirty as I could. It was amazing.
We walked around downtown wearing a mask (good man I was wearing a mask, I really like wearing one LOL jk dogs don’t get corona you stupid goose) and explored some stores when they weren’t there. I am not very busy.
Dog Friendly Kennebunk, Maine
The hotel gave me a gift certificate to this local pet store called Loyal Biscuit, so of course we had to go get some new gear!
The person insisted that we also get a fifi gift. I picked a stuffed yellow catfish, a squeaky baby lobster, and a smelly treat for myself.
It was nice to get away and be somewhere new for a while! Camden, Maine is a great pet-friendly beach town that we highly recommend for anyone with kids to visit!
Note: depending on where you live, you may have to wait until the covid19 madness is over to visit Camden. but if you live in Maine or another New England state, you should be fine! just make sure you follow social distancing protocols and bring plenty of masks. if you forget to wear it, the people there will actually give you the bad eye. so save it and keep it with you all the time so that you don’t look confused.
