Arrange for your dog to travel from the UK to France on an official route with an approved transport company. We decided to travel by ferry from the UK to France. He had to remain in the vehicle because pet tickets are limited on the ferry. Fortunately, Wilf is a great traveler. We made sure we arrived with plenty of time for a proper walk before boarding the ferry. It was comfortable and safe with enough water and ventilation (we left the window slightly open as recommended). The ferry crossing took approximately 90 minutes. This was a requirement for our ferry journey from the UK to Guernsey, when we also visited our caravan.
