A little background has just been given on how we became pet parents. A few years ago, when Covid suddenly took over our lives and the first lockdown began, my husband and I reached out to the pet loving community to help feed the Indy dogs on the streets. This is how we found the cutest puppies that were lost in the park without their mother. They were only a few weeks old and we were taking turns feeding them. One of them was a loud and playful dog and our friend named him Raju as it was his favorite name for any dog.
Raju grew into an ambivalent and daily joker and quickly became a happy-go-lucky but strong alpha. Unfortunately, he met with a tragic accident and was apparently beaten by some criminals in the middle of the night when he was only six months old and broke his back. Raju, the spirited child was paralyzed and in a lot of pain – many doctors told us to put him down. Finally one of them accepted the operation and we brought him home in the hope that one day he will be able to walk and run like normal dogs. However, two years later, when he can stand and walk a little, he is still paralyzed and has difficulty controlling himself, but he runs in the wheelchair we got him. And Raju is a traveler who has been to beaches and forests, and now he has a wonderful holiday in the hills. His younger brother, Ashu was with him through thick and thin and he started staying with us again a few months ago and this was his first trip away from home.
