Dog-friendly Resorts Texas Hill Country – One of the most common questions I get is if the glamping sites I visit around Texas are dog friendly! One of my favorite things about Hipcamp is that they have a “Pets Allowed” filter on their website or app that you can apply when searching for camping and glamping spots. This makes finding pet friendly glamping a breeze!
Dog-friendly Resorts Texas Hill Country
Are these the best treehouses in Texas? Located near Bastrop in Page, Texas, The Hobbit’s Nest Treehouse is a true escape to the woods. As you might have guessed, the hotel is decorated in a Lord of the Rings style and has lots of little decorative items that liven up the Shire.
The Coolest Dog-friendly Rentals In Texas Hill Country
And best of all, it’s one of the most dog-friendly places you’ll find. In fact, the owners live nearby and their two dogs roam the grounds and will probably come to the treehouse to say hello!
There is no Wi-Fi here, but there is a barbecue, a toilet, a shower and a small refrigerator, so I recommend cooking at home and really switching off. Also, the sounds of nature are at their best here, especially the “frog chorus” you’ll hear from the beautiful lily pond overlooking the tree house.
This luxury glamping site is located outside of Dripping Springs in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Options here at Lucky Arrow Retreat (get $10 off Hipcamp for new users) include yurts, cabins, and log cabins, depending on the size of your group and the experience you’re looking for. If you really want to shine, yurts like the ones below are the best option for you.
Each of them is designed for two guests and has access to a shared bathroom nearby. If you want something more hotel-like, there are Courtyard Cottages, Breezeway Cottages and Balcony Cottages, each of which sleeps four guests and has its own bathroom.
Sun Retreats Texas Hill Country, New Braunfels (updated Prices 2024)
Although this property is dog and cat friendly, you must pay a $150 per pet fee, which you can do when you book at the checkout on Hipcamp (which guarantees that you will be placed in one of the rooms , where pets are allowed). ).
If you’ve ever wanted to sleep in a converted shipping container, the FlopHouse Shipping Container Hotel, Round Top, Texas is what you’re looking for. Sit by the fire pit and enjoy stunning stargazing, take a dip in the shipping container pool, and hit the town for its abundance of antique shops.
If you want to have a really good time, book a place to stay during the Round Top Antiques Fair (just make sure to book in advance because people come from all over the world for this!). Yes, pets are allowed for free!

The yurt can accommodate up to 4 people. Features full-sized bathrooms and access to miles of hiking trails. They even offer a guided walking tour for an additional $25 at checkout. There are also things like kayak rentals on request!
Ranch 3232 offers unique lodging in the Texas Hill Country with cabin rentals, air-conditioned glamping tents, RV sites, campsites, and even a gypsy van (get $10 off Hipcamp for new users). The hotel is also located in Johnson City, just 1.5 miles from Pedernales Falls State Park, making it perfect if you want to hike and explore the state park during your stay.
My favorite Bird House is their little carriage room, although I would only recommend it for single occupancy (+ with a dog). It is very small! If you’re looking for something bigger, cabins are a great option. At the time of writing, their glamping tents do not allow dogs.
It’s always a good idea to check which rooms are pet-friendly at each property, as sometimes not all rooms are pet-friendly and policies can change!
Canyon Lake Pet-friendly Vacation Rentals
Located on Lake Bastrop, GLAT Austin offers luxury, safari-style glamping tents that sleep 3-6 guests depending on the tent you choose ($10 off Hipcamp for new users). They also have several cabins with private hot tubs, as well as other amenities such as fire pits in every room on the property.
Mystic Quarry in Canyon Lake, Texas is the perfect place to stay if you want to go tubing in the summer! Their accommodations range from tiny houses, apartments, tents, and lodges to RV and tent sites (get $10 off Hipcamp for new users). You can relax by the pool, go tubing on the Guadalupe River, attend a concert at the Whitewater Amphitheater, or spend the day at Canyon Lake.
If you filter by pets allowed, you’ll find that they have tons of dog-friendly glamping options like safari lodges (my personal favorite), upscale cottages, and some lodges.
What do I like most about Mystic Quarry? They have beach volleyball, lawn games, a community pool, walking paths, bocce courts, a dog pond, dog parks and more. They are located on an area of 10 hectares with entertainment facilities. You can find out more about their dog policy here.
