Take a road trip with dogs! I am so excited to explore new dog-friendly destinations with the newest member of our family, Duchess. (Photo taken with the iPhone 14 Pro)

Dog Friendly Excursions In Toronto

We love how many of you have already told us how much you love our line of dog treats. We like it too! It’s definitely been a learning curve traveling with the Duchess, but it means so much to us to be able to bring her on our family adventures.

Is Toronto Dog Friendly? YES! Despite its reputation as a concrete jungle, Toronto has plenty of parks, off-leash dogs and more. Even in a downtown backyard, like this one in College Park, there’s greenery that makes for an easy trip on your wallet.

It’s time to introduce Toronto to our list of dog-friendly destinations. After all, we’ve lived here for years and even now we’re less than an hour away. You can now find a much more detailed Toronto Dog Friendly post with full information about the hotel featured here in my pet friendly hotel in Toronto post, as well as more information about all of the activities and restaurants.

Looking for a pet friendly hotel in Toronto? You found him at the Chelsea Hotel. (All photos taken with iPhone 14 Pro)

North Ridge Ranch Muskoka Dog Sledding Tours

We loved our stay at The Chelsea and now understand why families love to come here!

While not a full indoor water park in Toronto, the Chelsea Hotel Family Fun Zone certainly has plenty of water park elements, including the super-fun Corkscrew water slide that juts out of the building in one section.

Note that a more complete list of DOGGY DO’s at The Chelsea can be found in my pet friendly hotels in Toronto post.

Your time at the Chelsea Hotel, go out on the town with your dog (and the kids if you have one too!). I’ll give a brief overview here, but you can find more information in my pet friendly hotels in Toronto post.

Sandy Paws Equal Happy Dogs

The Cherry Beach dog park is amazing and, so far, the only off-leash beach I know of for dogs.

When patio season is in full swing, few cities do better than Toronto. This section will definitely grow over time and there is even more detail in my pet friendly hotels in Toronto post.

Black Lab Brewing was a great place to eat and drink on a rainy day in Toronto. Since it’s not technically a restaurant (although it does serve food), even dogs are allowed here.

I love that Mildred’s Temple Kitchen is dog friendly! They even had small cookies and a bowl of water at the patio entrance with a sign that said “dogs deserve brunch too”. One of the best brunches in Toronto.

6 Fun Things To Do With Your Pup

We had planned the Lake Placid trip described above for a while before I decided to look for pipe breaks that made geographical sense. I mentioned to the guys that Ottawa can be a nice place and they were great to be back. It was a few years ago and it is one of her favorite cities.

Are you reading this in the summer months? Then you should check out my weekend getaways Ontario – Ottawa seen!

There are so many things to do in Ottawa with your dog that it will take at least one more visit to truly complete this post…but you’d be hard pressed to do it in one weekend as it is!

You were meant to stay here after all. It is a truly beautiful hotel that feels royal from the moment the valet takes your car keys. Fairmont hotels are known for loving dogs – some even have a pet dog – and this was no different. It’s definitely the more expensive option of the two, but for those who want a little luxury in their lives, this is the place. A diamond dog collar will do

The Fairmont Château Laurier is a pet-friendly luxury hotel in Ottawa, close to many amenities and backed by a beautiful park with stunning views. (All photos taken with iPhone 14 Pro)

Note that a more complete list of DOGGY DO’s at both the Fairmont and the Westin can be found in my pet-friendly Ottawa hotel post.

We have stayed at Westin hotels so many times over the years, but this past winter was the first time we stayed at this one in Ottawa. And it is SO dog friendly. The Westin Ottawa is also a good test for those who are sure they have completed the house training. there are many floors and between waiting for an elevator and going over the actual event grass.

As with the Toronto entry above, you can now find a much more detailed ‘Ottawa with Dogs’ post with full information on the hotels in the Ottawa section here in my pet friendly Ottawa hotel post, with much more information on each of the activities e. and restaurants, too.

Tips For A Paws-itive Car Travel Experience With Your Furry Friend

Remember this is just a tip and a detailed list with much more information can be found in my pet friendly hotels in Ottawa post.

We have known for years in the pedestrian village that people like to bring their dogs to Tremblant. But until we arrived as dog parents, we had no idea that the village is so pet friendly that they even have stickers that shops can put on their doors. I lost track of how many of the display cases carried green hearts – they were more the rule than the exception.

Summer will be a better test for Tremblant when we are puppy free and able to walk and maybe even try some cycling with the Duchess. And as for restaurants… While we had no problem keeping the Duchess fit and mentally stimulated, we were surprised that the pet friendly shops we came across only had a heated patio who was openly (Lucille’s) confused about his pet policy. But more about the restaurants below.

5 Dream Dog Destinations At Ontario Parks

We enjoyed introducing Her Highness the Duchess to our favorite lodge on the hill for many years. The Fairmont Tremblant is one of three pet-friendly hotels in the pedestrian village of Mont-Tremblant and the only ski-in/ski-out property.

And they love dogs! (In fact, they used to have a house dog and his own dog in the lobby.)

I will only give a quick overview of the Fairmont in this post, as I have a newly updated and expanded review of the Fairmont Tremblant hotel with a much larger view of the hotel as a whole, so be sure to check that out as well.

We’ve stayed at the pet-friendly Fairmont Tremblant several times, but this was our first visit with a dog – and it was a big hit! (Photo taken with the iPhone 14 Pro)

As the village is a pedestrian only village, it is a dream to be able to walk around without worrying about cars and roads. There are also many other dogs in the village, which gives the couple plenty of opportunities to socialize. We only met one other dog owner who said their dog was not friendly enough to interact with.

A dog in a pottery shop? Why not! Studio Creatif is also included in my Tremblant summer and winter activity guides to help you find things to do when it rains.

Pinery Provincial Park

This is one area where Tremblant could improve on pet friendliness. I’m not sure if Quebec restaurant regulations legally prohibit dogs (other than service animals, of course) from joining their families on outdoor patios, but we were surprised to learn that a new heated patio was open on the weekend of length. visit, no dogs allowed. Lucille seemed to have a mature atmosphere and we hope they develop a consistent policy for our next visit. More about this (and all Tremblant restaurants) in my Mont-Tremblant restaurants post.

Other than room service, there was unfortunately no option to include our fifth family member in any of our dining experiences. We look forward to trying the hot
