Dog Friendly Vacations In Us – When you travel, of course you need to have friends to see new places together. Dog parents are often drawn to the idea of traveling with their beloved pets, and finding a dog-friendly vacation is easier than most people think.

Quigley and I lived in the city for several years and easily moved from the bustling city center to the sick, crowded parks and charming colonial districts, exploring all the corners together. The area is perfect for all seasons, but summer and fall make the area shine for dog lovers, and Bostonians know how to appreciate the sun.
Feeling patriotic? Many of the nation’s most important historic sites are located along the Freedom Trail, which takes visitors past historical sites that tell the story of the American Revolution. The trail runs along Boston Common, which includes a friendly dog park. Nearby, travelers can visit other historic sites such as Acorn Street, one of the most photographed streets in the United States, or the Community Garden, home to the Make Way for Ducklings statue of Mrs. Mallard leading her family. ducks.

If you’re looking for a fishing rod, visitors can find plenty of options nearby. Nashoba Valley Winery is one of the only orchards that allows dogs to come pick apples. Those looking to get lost (metaphorically) in the colorful trees for a few hours can visit one of the many nearby wildlife parks, such as Blue Hills.
New York has it all – sightseeing, great food, parks, shopping and design, just to name a few highlights. Those who enjoy walking around the city and seeing the sights will be happy to hear that the streets of New York are dog-friendly.

Take your camera and go see the sights of the city. Places like Thesda Terrace, Grand Central Station, the New York Public Library, and DUMBO (Brooklyn’s pet-friendly neighborhood) are just a few of the places you and your dog can explore and explore. If your dog needs some time off, New York City has plenty of dog parks.
A trip to New York is not complete without a visit to the mall. Luckily, your dog can join you on the ultimate shopping spree! Bloomingdale’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Rgdorf and Barneys are known to allow genie, well-behaved, leashed dogs, but call ahead to confirm. Desert beach meets small-town charm in Bar Harbor, Maine. Business owners lining Main Street are taking their canine love to the next level with places like Coffee Hounds (which requires you to post a photo of your dog online) and Bark Harbor (a grocery store and barista). Local seafood lovers Stewman’s welcome dogs on board with fun signs.
Just a 15-minute drive from downtown, visitors can reach the spectacular Acadia National Park. It has 158 miles of hiking trails and 45 miles of trails where pets are allowed to accompany their working parents.
For a great experience, head to Jordan’s Pond House, enjoy their famous popovers and house tea, then take a stroll around the pond. Afterwards, head to the top of nearby Cadillac Hill to watch the sunset.

Located in the high desert of West Texas, Marfa is only three hours from any of the nearest airports, making it a destination for those looking for an epic road trip. (See tips for walking your dog here.) Marfa is known as an art tourism mecca, and tourists love its ancient architecture, fine dining and craft shops. In addition, lovers of a mysterious journey experience the amazing bright phenomenon called the lights of Marfa. Best of all, many attractions and hotels accept dogs of all shapes and sizes.
There are many accommodation options for pet parents, each with its own unique vi. Glampers can rent a retro RV, camper or own tent/camper at the popular El Cosmico. Common areas include outdoor kitchens and showers, a hammock garden (where Quigley and I spent hours reading and sitting all night), and a cool bark. Those who want to enjoy the atmosphere and pamper themselves can take a look at St. George Hotel.
Dog parents swear by the delicious food at Marfa Burrito, Pizza Foundation, FoodShark and The Capri. The first place to relax and meet the locals before or after your meal is Planet Marfa, a hacienda-style garden with a dance floor and steeped tea.
Owner John has been known to bring groups to see the mysterious lights on his Planet bus. John, ever the perfect host, entertained Quilly for hours by swapping stories.
Dogs Luv Us And We Luv Them: Travel With Dogs
New Orleans is the city where I spent most of my childhood, and I couldn’t wait to get back with a four-legged tie! There is no lack of inspiration in every corner of the city with colors, music and history. The city is a walkable, delicious and international experience. Travel + Entertainment named New Orleans the “#1 Foodie City in the US,” and if your mouth isn’t full, you’ll be saying the same thing.
We would be wise not to recommend a stop (or four) at Café du Monde. Dogs can join their parents in the enclosure, but my recommendation is to accept your order. Watch street performers dance, sing, dance and enjoy a coffee at Jackson Square, just steps away from the cafe. If you want to organize a meal, Broussard’s offers a three-course jazz breakfast.
For classic and classic New Orleans food, you can’t go wrong with a po-boy. Quiley wanted a bite to eat at Johnny Po-Boys, an old New Orleans family restaurant. Dogs are not allowed inside, so we recommend a picnic by the river. The nearby Voldenrg Park has plenty of space, a wide lawn and a great view of the river.
New Orleans also has a haunted history, and the city offers you and your pet a chance to play for fun. After dark, the city offers a series of ghostly walking tours, and several groups, such as French Quarter Phantom or Witches Brew, allow dogs to join them.
