When you think of family travel destinations on the US East Coast, the Hamptons on Long Island always come to mind. The Hamptons is a popular place for New Yorkers and one of the best places to visit on Long Island.
The Hamptons is a New York beach town full of new beaches. This is especially great since your whole family can enjoy sitting on the beach, surfing, boating, or even try your hand at fishing. Some of the best beaches include Coopers Beach and East Hampton’s Main Beach. In addition, there are activities such as mini golf, popular playgrounds such as Agawam Park, and the Eastern Children’s Museum to enjoy.
The Hamptons also has an amazing food scene. The Lobster Roll is kid friendly. This restaurant serves refreshing seafood in an old-fashioned setting. Hamlet Inn is a family friendly hotel. The surrounding landscape is also something that everyone loves. I mean you can take pictures of hidden ice caves, gorgeous lakes, ruins, and stunning views from above. In addition, there are some great luxury places you can stay in while you are there. The Winter Clove Inn is a great example! Best of all, it’s very easy to get to the Catskills from New York City. It is a place where you can relax or spend your days exploring the countryside.
Boston is a great family destination with plenty to do year-round. A stroll around the Boston Public Garden is popular with the whole family, with its duck pond, swan boat rides, and the famous Mrs. Hans Boat. Mallard duck and eight ducklings. Boston Common is the oldest public park in the country where you can ice skate on a frog pond in the winter.
A fun family activity that you can add to your Boston itinerary is the Freedom Highway ride that you can follow using the app. This way you can learn about the history of Boston by following the historical sites in the city. During the summer months, you can watch whales from the Boston Marina. Boston is a friendly, walkable city, and the bus and subway system is great for tired little feet.

This charming city has many things to do. From the many museums to the amazing train rides, from the lighthouses to the art galleries, don’t even get me started on the food! You’ll find something for everyone in the family. The variety of activities means there is always something to keep the kids entertained.
Some of my favorites are the Portland Art Museum, the Tate House, the antique train ride, and the Portland Observatory. While you’re here, don’t forget to eat all the lobster you can. Portland’s seafood is legendary, and if you haven’t tried lobster you are missing out.
