Dog Friendly Vacations In Arizona

Dog Friendly Vacations In Arizona

Dog Friendly Vacations In Arizona – The hardest part of being a traveler is how my dogs look every time I pack my suitcase. After returning from a two week work trip, I wanted to make up for the dog with an epic trip in the American Southwest. Known for its dry climate, spectacular scenery and desert scenery, the Southwest is a must-visit region of the country. It also happens to be very dog friendly. From Arizona to Utah, these are the best places in the Southwest to visit with your pet.

Sedona’s Devil’s Bridge is one of the most popular hiking and photography spots in the area, and no trip to Sedona would be complete without at least one visit to this amazing spot.

The climb to Devil’s Bridge is quite difficult and can be crowded in high season. There are two ways to start the Devil’s Bridge Trail from the main parking lot. Both take you to the same destination, but one is on a dusty 4×4 road, and the other is a longer trek in the desert.

Dog-friendly Getaways In Bc

Since it can be very hot during the day and the hike too much for our little dog, we decided to build a trail for 4×4 off-road vehicles, which will allow you to get to the trailheads faster and shorten the wandering time. 70% of the travel time, but your vehicle must have high clearance and four-wheel drive.

If you don’t have 4 wheel drive, can you book a guided tour with pink jeeps for tourists? This is a Sedona adventure tourism company that takes you on special trips on trails and tours throughout the Red Rock area!

From the high profit parking lot, you only have to walk another kilometer. Pretty easy for our dog. Eventually you will see a fork in the path. Turn left and drop down to the bottom of Devil’s Bridge. The path to the right will be a steep path to the top of Devil’s Bridge. The route is rocky and requires several steps and ladders.

You will climb on 2 separate natural rock steps where the route continues to the bridge after the first steps you have the first great view of the country.

Pet Friendly National Park: The Grand Canyon

A trip with 3 dogs is accompanied by many challenges. Imagine you are traveling with your dog where every restaurant you go to and around has to be pet friendly. And it’s even more challenging when it comes to errands.

That’s why we chose glamping. Some campgrounds and Airbnbs in Arizona offer “glamping.” Glamping is ideal for those looking for a getaway in nature with some comforts from home. Luckily, we came across a pet-friendly glamping site in Williams – Grand Canyon Glamping Eco-Yurt.

This yurt is perfect for couples, families or groups looking to escape to nature. There is a separate bathroom and outdoor sun shower next to the tent. They charge $10 per pet for the cleaning fee, which is pretty reasonable. Our three dogs really enjoyed their first glamping experience! Read more about our glamping experience here.

While many national parks are sorely lacking in pet-friendly access, Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park offers a new variety of options for adventures with pets.

2 Dog-friendly Pool Parties In Tucson

Dogs of all sizes are allowed at no extra charge and must always be on a leash, cleaned up afterwards under the control of the owner. Dogs are allowed throughout the park, but not in the buildings. Check out my complete guide to Monument Valley here.

You may have seen pictures of the beautiful horseshoe curve. This place has become very popular over the past few years thanks to Instagram, and trust me when I say it’s even more amazing. Horseshoe Bend attracts visitors because of the short hike (only 20 minutes) and the beautiful scenery.

The best part about Horseshoe Bend is that it is dog friendly. Dogs are welcome at Horseshoe Bend as long as their companions remain on a leash that is no longer than five feet at all times. Dogs must be physically restrained by their companion at all times.

There is a line of people waiting to get close to the edge and ask someone to take a picture or take a selfie. As we descended to the edge, my three dogs kept running between the rock outcroppings and looking down 1000 feet to the delight of some of the onlookers and the horror of others.

Dog Friendly Sedona, Az: Where To Hike, Stay & Eat With Pets

My advice is to be very careful around the edges as there are no fences. Be careful with other people because your dog may be less self-aware than others, and you accidentally run into someone or scare them (here tourists tend to stand on edge to take selfies!!!)

Coral Pink Sand Dunes is a beautiful area with hot sand dunes. This park is located just southeast of Zion National Park, and offers views of the Zion area.

Answer: The first thing you notice when you step off the boardwalk onto the sand is how soft it is. The soft sand is like a soft and comfortable blanket.

Since we arrived at the park very early in the morning (7-8am), there wasn’t much off-road vehicle activity in the dunes. According to my research, people say that OHVs can really annoy visitors because they can use about 90% of the park so there is no way to stop them. But luckily for us, there was no one and we got the whole place to ourselves. So I let my dogs run free.

Lake Mead National Recreation Area Az Beaches

As the sun begins to rise, the dunes begin to show their beautiful coral pink color. What an amazing sight!

Our dogs ran down the hill barking with pure joy. Then we sat and watched the shining sand and just admired the view.

Babylon Arch is a short and easy walk with little elevation gain. This is a short, family-friendly trip to Maiden River and back. The road is very sandy, which makes it difficult to climb hills.

To get to the road you need 4-wheel drive, that’s why there is no one here but us. Our dogs are free to roam again. Nice walk but no shade so bring plenty of water. And it won’t be long before you feel like you’ve landed on Mars with the cool sandstone formations all around you.

Arizona Luxury Villas & Vacation Rentals 2024/2025

Valley of Fire State Park, located just 50 miles northeast of Las Vegas in Nevada, is a striking desert landscape of bold red rocks, pink canyons, and undulating rock formations.

Valley of Fire is a relatively small park, but there is a lot to explore. There are also thousands of pet-friendly trails if you have time to hunt. Not to be confused with the Wave in Page, AZ, this wave is a swirl of color, creating a wave-like feature. Take the time to explore the surrounding area, because in every direction you turn, another beautiful place will attract your attention.

Las Vegas was the last stop before heading home. I don’t like this station, but I wanted to include it here to show our full schedule. You can find many pet-friendly Airbnbs in Las Vegas. We found a great home by the trailhead, and just enjoyed the last day of the road trip giving our fur babies a bath (after a week of hiking in the southwest they were super dirty) and picking them up. walk around Venice
