We love it there, and we love New Hampshire weather in the winter, fall and summer. We think it’s a family-friendly vacation! It’s weird because we ended up traveling in NH in the winter Last summer, we decided to get there for a summer vacation full of cool mountain air and our dog, but we didn’t have the courage to make the long drive from Florida amid the Canadian heat and high tides.

A Guide To Pet-friendly Vacations In Every State
One thing I love about Waterville Valley Resort is that they have a wonderful long, dog-friendly flat and resort area. It doubles as a local ski trail, which is great but skiers know that the trail is pedestrian and dog friendly so we don’t see many skiers in the area. My husky Icy loves to walk this path! He comes to life in the snow and although he is 14 years old, he looks like any other puppy We had a great time!
I can’t wait to get it in the summer, but it’s not suitable for this summer for many reasons He is getting slower and I am afraid he won’t be able to walk even after this year
A short video of me and my dog crossing a bridge over the beautiful stream around the house:

There aren’t many family-friendly New Hampshire hotels in the area It’s amazing that Waterville Valley Resort allows dogs on the trails and some of the trails, but their hotel does not!
There are many units around the resort, many owners rent out their space but are not pet friendly There is some accommodation around the property, but only one pet It is called a snowy owl We were there a year ago and it was terrible The location is perfect, you can walk to everything in the resort along with the dog friendly trails mentioned above I’m glad to see it’s now under new ownership, so hopefully it will come soon The previous owner didn’t seem to spend any money on upgrades and we won’t be staying there until something changes.
For the past few years, we have stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites, a Marriott hotel near Poole, New Hampshire. It’s about 20 minutes from Waterville Valley Ski Area, but it’s a great location! We love it there

Because my husband and I cross-country ski, it’s cross-country skiing I had the first day of skiing, my husband the second day
I skated the first day and it was great! The second day was when my husband went skiing That day I was relaxing in the hotel room with my dog when my husband called me Glided for 2 hours and had the time of her life!
My husband says he is tired but wants to explore other options Plan on cycling for another half hour and sketching for another half hour – that’s another hour of sketching, taxing when you’re tired!
Knowing how much my husband can drive and how prone to accidents in any physical event, I can suggest that he return to the hotel to “end the day on a high.” We still have a few more days of skiing and I don’t want to let one of us get injured on the second day However, my boss told him that he was fine and could run the next hour

“Honey, can you go to the living room and get the wheelchair?” “What? Why do you need a wheelchair? Why do you need a chair at all?? I need to know.”
Of course he fell down. No doubt because he was tired and insisted on continuing skiing
In fact, he couldn’t walk He fell down and hit his hip and thigh hard. That was the end of my ski vacation – and the beginning of doing it myself It’s also the end of our big winter vacation for our dogs The image of the two of us driving down a long, snowy driveway quickly faded
My husband doesn’t want a doctor, he just wants to get off his feet For how long we are not sure
