The idea of pets in the house is new and there are few that you can travel with. The requirements are often stricter than in Europe, but this is a step in the right direction. Almost all Korean airlines allow pets to fly in the cabin. However, most of them weigh only 7 kg, including the carrier. They are very limited in which dogs can fly with them.

T’Way Air is a low-cost airline operating from South Korea. They recently allowed pets in the cabin on international flights which was a change for me. The maximum weight allowance for any airline in Asia can be up to 9 kg, including baggage. The maximum height of the boat is 115 cm and the maximum height of the soft box is 26 cm. Yes, there should be enough space for the pet to move around. There must also be a lock from the outside. You can travel economy and they will provide a seat for pets (not in the emergency exit line). There is also a maximum of 6 pets per flight (1 per passenger and each pet must be at least 2 rows apart).

The fee for bringing a pet home is 20,000 Korean Won (about $15) for domestic flights and 100,000,000 ($77) to 200,000,000 ($155) for international flights. The last Korean airline on the list is Jeju Air. Again, 7kg (including carrier) falls under the same rules as most others. 1 pet per passenger, the size of the boat is also small, in fact the smallest I have seen. The maximum height can be only 100 cm (width 37 cm and height 23 cm). It can be booked online and costs KRW 20,000 for domestic travel, KRW 70,000 for Japan, KRW 85,000,000 for China/Taiwan and KRW 100,000 for Southeast Asia.
