North Stradbroke Island is one of the dog-friendly islands off the coast of Queensland, with pets allowed on boats, on the beach and on the island’s beaches. The classic option is to camp on the beaches, accessible only by four-wheel drive vehicle, but North Stradbrook also has pet-friendly cabins.
Book a stay at Sea Shanties in Amity Point on the northern tip of the island. Five of its eight cabins are pet-friendly, with well-behaved dogs permitted. The beautifully decorated rooms sleep between two and six people, each with its own kitchen and private bathroom.
